Screen Research's StopLight black backing layer is designed to partner the ClearPix2 range of screen fabrics. Offering a high level of acoustic transparency, StopLight does not compromise audio performance .
The use of a StopLight layer offers significant image enhancements when using ClearPix2 fabrics. Its prime purpose is to stop the transfer of projected light which may reflect of of any elements placed behind a screen, such as a flat screen TV or loudspeakers. Any reflected light will be seen by the viewer and distract from the video experience.
Secondarily, the StopLight black backing layer enhances the video image, increasing the contrast level by dimming the reproduced black level without affecting the white level or color balance.
StopLight black backing is included as a standard specification for all screens using ClearPix2 fabrics.
