Bryanston Private Cinema
An integrated residential cinema project by Alisonn Ltd, with Habitech Ltd supporting the project as distribution partner
There are projects where technology is clearly visible, and others where it quietly disappears into the space, leaving only the experience.
Within the Bryanston development in Hyde Park, a residential building defined by its attention to detail and quality of living, this private cinema was conceived as part of a broader idea of comfort and everyday experience. Led by Alisonn Ltd, with the support of Habitech Ltd as distribution partner, the project was approached not as a technical installation, but as a space designed to be lived in.
From the very beginning, the objective was to create an environment where watching a film would feel natural, immersive and effortless, without requiring the user to interact with the underlying technology.

Designing a Space Around Experience
Rather than starting from performance specifications, the project developed around a more fundamental question: how should the experience feel over time?
For Alisonn Ltd, this meant interpreting the space not only in terms of technical requirements, but in relation to how it would be used on a daily basis. The layout of the seating, the balance of light within the room, and the proportions of the image were all considered as interconnected elements, contributing to a single, coherent environment.
The result is a space that feels calm and balanced, where nothing draws unnecessary attention and everything supports the act of watching.
Below is a comprehensive overview of the steps that guide a reference cinema room from concept to full completion — with a technical and strategic approach specifically tailored to AV professionals.
An Acoustic Environment Designed from the Beginning
In a cinema environment, sound plays a role that is often underestimated, yet fundamental to the overall perception of quality.
In this project, acoustics were not introduced as a corrective measure, but integrated into the design from the outset. Materials, surfaces and volumes were carefully considered to control reflections and ensure a consistent listening experience across the room.
This approach extends to the front soundstage, where the possibility of positioning speakers behind the projection surface contributes to a more natural relationship between sound and image — a configuration enabled by technologies that combine acoustic transparency with visual precision.

A Visual Experience That Feels Effortless
At the center of the room, the image becomes the natural focal point, not because it dominates the space, but because everything else has been designed to support it.
The projection system delivers a large, balanced and consistent image, capable of adapting to different types of content without requiring continuous adjustments. Whether used for films, streaming or live content, the experience remains stable and engaging.
The projection surface plays a key role in maintaining the coherence of the system. Solutions based on acoustically transparent woven fabrics, such as those developed by Screen Research, make it possible to position the audio system behind the image while preserving both visual integrity and accurate sound localization.
From the user’s perspective, this translates into a simple but meaningful effect: voices come from where they should, movements feel aligned, and the screen disappears as a physical object.

Integration That Simplifies the Experience
Behind the apparent simplicity of the room lies a coordinated integration process, where different systems have been brought together into a unified and intuitive interface.
The collaboration between Alisonn Ltd and Habitech Ltd ensured continuity between design intent and product selection, allowing the project to evolve without friction across its different phases, including the integration of projection and screen technologies tailored to the specific requirements of the space.
For the end user, this translates into ease of use. The system does not require technical knowledge or complex interaction, allowing the experience to remain immediate and accessible.
A Collaborative Approach to Residential Cinema
What ultimately defines this project is the way different competencies have been brought together into a shared vision.
The role of Alisonn Ltd is evident in the ability to interpret the expectations of the client and translate them into a space that feels natural and balanced.
The support of Habitech Ltd reinforces this process, ensuring that every technological choice remains aligned with the intent of the project. Rather than a collection of products, the cinema emerges as a unified environment where architecture, acoustics and technology evolve together.
A Space Meant to Be Lived
The success of this private cinema is not defined by the technology it contains, but by the way it integrates into everyday life.
It is a space designed to be used, shared and experienced over time — whether for watching films, hosting guests or simply enjoying a moment of immersion.
In this context, every element — from acoustic design to projection surface — contributes to a unified perception, where performance and integration are inseparable.
A private cinema is not defined by the equipment it contains, but by the moments it enables. Its real success lies in how naturally it becomes part of everyday life, offering an experience that remains consistent, engaging and meaningful over time.
